A Guide to Daily Life at the Shelter

    Meals

Lunch is served at 11am and dinner at 6pm. The tables are usually segregated by age group and sex. As a volunteer, try to learn everyone's names. Mealtimes are a great place to start.

    Afternoon Naptime

Noon to 2pm in the summer. This schedule varies when school begins. If you are not accustomed to taking a nap in the middle of the day yet, feel free to use this time to familiarize yourself with the books in the library (there are some English ones) or talk to one of the older children. Naptime is mandatory for the youngers ones (~12 and below) so encourage them to head off to bed at noon.
