Thriive Capital Loan Program

The Thriive Organization has partnered with the Friends of Hue Foundation to offer ThriiveCapital Loans to the small and growing business community in Hue, Vietnam. Thriive supports small businesses and promotes a culture of social responsibility by providing two important components: Capital and Compassion. By providing capital through support for production equipment, small businesses grow and create new, permanent jobs. Through the dynamic repayment system of ThriiveCapital, financing is repaid with donations of products, services or job training to community members in need. ThriiveCapital is different from traditional financing in the following ways:

• ThriiveCapital is always interest free
• ThriiveCapital is repaid through donations of in-kind products or services to other community members in need—never in case from profits
• ThriiveCapital is strictly for machinery and equipment, not for marketing or operating expenses
• Thriive targets ‘the missing middle’—small and growing businesses, typically with 10 employees or less, that are too big for microfinance institutions (MFI’s), but too small to secure commercial bank credit
• Thriive strives to create new, permanent jobs associated with expanded production capacity
• Thriive promotes a culture of business-sponsored community charity
